A little fun with my characters

So my manuscript I have written is about a girl who discovers that she is a wistry, which is basically a witch. Her powers are to command the ocean. She meets Javian who is a Keeper of the Ocean. He is sworn to protect the balance of the ocean. Of course, they fall in love… it is a romance after all. I wrote a poem from Javian to Adelaide. Cause you know characters like to write poetry too.

Javian’s Ode to Adelaide

Eyes so beautiful
Bleeding from gold to blue
Rosy cheeks
Made brighter by the cold wind
Adelaide will be my queen
 
Magic powers within
Communing with the ocean
Inner strength
Saving us from the new evil
Adelaide the formidable wistry
 
Without fear of me
Accepting a future that looks bleak
Captivating our people
I must be in love
With the woman of my future
